Who We Want

The role of the Trading Specialist is to assist in the daily workflow of strategy level rebalancing, processing daily strategy buy-in requests, tax loss harvesting requests, liquidating accounts for cash needs, and all other Advisor directed trade requests. This role provides on-going trade support to all of Carson Group's Advisors and external offices. The Trading Specialist will exhibit great attention to detail, work well under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position requires prior market knowledge and a good understanding of how securities trade.

What To Expect

• Facilitate execution of trades based on models managed by Carson Group as well as single trades from business partners of Carson Wealth Management Group.
• Review drift reports and exception reports of advisory accounts to ensure quality and timely trading is performed.
• Ensure that implemented internal controls are adhered to and provide proactive recommendations to changes in the internal control infrastructure where required.
• Follow the guidelines provided to achieve goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
• Assist in developing processes and procedures that enhance accuracy and streamline processes.
• Assist in setting and continually meeting project expectations with team members and management.
• Other duties as assigned

What You Need

• Block trading in conjunction with management of model portfolios experience
• Experience with Schwab & Fidelity platforms
• Experience using Orion technology a plus
• Experienced users of Microsoft Excel
• A natural acumen for numbers
• The desire to strive for perfection
• Attention to details
• Planning and organizational skills
• Written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or similar field of study is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of trading experience preferred

The total rewards expected for this role include:

• Starting annual base salary between $62,400 - $81,200.
• Variable compensation potential (Bonus and/or commissions)
