Job Description

Company Overview

Blue Energy’s mission is to unlock energy abundance, energy affordability, energy security, and turn-key decarbonization by developing the fastest path to deploying new nuclear MWs at scale. We are utilizing shipyard manufacturing supply chains and techniques from offshore oil and wind to reduce the cost of nuclear plants by over 60% and the manufacturing timeline to 24 months. Blue Energy is a platform technology that makes use of the latest NRC-approved reactors and is in negotiations with existing nuclear and industrial sites, enabling a much faster regulatory pathway to deploy our first unit. With our innovative centralized shipyard manufacturing approach, we can put nuclear power on a cost-reduction learning curve akin to wind, solar, and lithium-ion batteries.

Role Overview:

We are hiring a Senior Recruiter to take ownership of full-cycle recruiting across our engineering, commercial, regulatory, and operations teams. You’ll be the go-to person for sourcing, interviewing, coordinating, and closing top talent, and will help us refine and scale our recruiting processes. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role with the opportunity to shape how talent gets built at Blue Energy—and, over time, to help grow the team and build infrastructure as we scale. The role is hybrid and based in South Jersey or Washington, DC .

Key Responsibilities:

Full-Cycle Recruiting:

  • Own end-to-end recruiting for critical roles across functions—engineering, regulatory, commercial, and G&A.

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand talent needs, build scorecards, and design effective interview processes.

  • Drive a high-quality candidate experience from outreach through close and onboarding.

Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Building:

  • Proactively source passive candidates through tools like LinkedIn, agency partners, and referrals.

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of high-potential talent aligned with current and future needs.

  • Support top-of-funnel efforts with creative outreach and employer brand initiatives.

Recruiting Operations & Process Improvement:

  • Manage our applicant tracking system (Ashby) and ensure consistent, high-quality candidate tracking.

  • Improve recruiting workflows, interview coordination, and data tracking as we scale.

  • Create job descriptions, interview guides, and hiring manager resources.

Collaboration & Growth:

  • Serve as a trusted partner to hiring managers, working closely with the leadership team on high-priority searches.

  • Partner with external recruiters or agencies when needed for specific hard-to-fill roles.

  • Contribute to talent strategy and play a key role in shaping how we build and scale hiring over time.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 5–8 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in high-growth or startup environments.

  • Strong track record sourcing and closing candidates across technical and non-technical roles.

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (experience with Ashby is a plus).

  • Experience managing multiple open roles in parallel with competing priorities.

Skills:

  • Excellent sourcing and engagement abilities—especially with passive talent.

  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and follow-up skills.

  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication.

  • Confidence working directly with senior stakeholders and technical teams.

  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Perks and Benefits:

  • Hybrid flexibility with base location in South Jersey or Washington, DC.

  • Direct access to senior leadership and meaningful input into company growth.

  • High degree of ownership and exposure to cross-functional teams.

  • Opportunity to grow your role as the company scales and hiring demand expands.

We look forward to your application and helping foster an era of safe, clean, affordable, and abundant energy.

Blue Energy is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. If you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t perfectly align with every requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might be the right candidate for this or other roles at Blue Energy now or in the future.
