LIVINGSTON DEVELOPMENT VENTURES

JOB SUMMARY: The Accounts Payable Specialist processes accounts payable for a service organization with multiple clients.

SALARY: $20-23/Hour

REPORTS TO: Controller

SUPERVISES: n/a

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Facilitates accounts payable using accounting software and other programs.
  • Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.
  • Processing due invoices for payments.
  • Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges.
  • Reconciling credit card transactions to statements
  • Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance and recording entries.
  • Assists other finance staff with various functions such as required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cover receptionist duties during lunch time and vacation time as needed.
  • Assist and interact with other divisions and perform other duties as directed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) required.
  • 1 or more years of Accounts Payable experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Organized & diligent.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and manage across multiple organizations, processes, and initiatives.
  • Proficient with Excel & Word
  • Experience with multi-company accounting and Timberline experience a plus.
