The Educational Psychology Department in the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time Associate Professor or Professor position in Human Development & Family Sciences (HDFS). This position will support the newly launched undergraduate program in HDFS and will include research, teaching, and service responsibilities. We seek candidates who demonstrate national and/or international leadership in the field of HDFS, particularly research excellence and collaborative grant-funded research.
This is a nine-month tenured appointment with an anticipated start date no later than fall semester of 2026. Salary is competitive and commensurate with faculty rank and qualifications.

Qualifications Required qualifications:
- Must have a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Sciences, or related field
- Must show evidence of programmatic research and high impact publications
- Must show evidence of effective teaching and mentorship of graduate and undergraduate students
- Must show evidence of commitment to collegiality and collaboration
- Must show evidence of specific accomplishments demonstrating expertise in an area of HDFS that complements existing faculty expertise, particularly research excellence and collaborative grant-funded research.
Preferred qualifications:
- Evidence of success securing extramural funding
- Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in any area of family science, including, but not limited to family systems, parenting styles, family management, familial relationships, and family dynamics, among others.
