Description
Reports to: Principal
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The teacher will:
-Serve and support the mission of Mary Our Queen School to form students of faith who pursue academic excellence and live in Christian service.
-Develop and implement daily lesson plans as part of a long-term scope and sequence aligned to the Archdiocese curriculum/Nebraska state standards and in collaboration with other grade levels and specialty teachers.
-Use a variety of rigorous formative and summative assessments to evaluate individual academic progress and adjust instructional plans to meet the needs of all students.
-Effectively communicate with parents and school staff on student progress.
-Establish clear expectations and routines that align with school-wide values and policies.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities -Model and share the Catholic faith, integrating its teachings and values into daily instruction and the life of the classroom.
-Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of subject matter and implement best instructional practices.
-Work cooperatively and collaboratively with a grade-level team, and build a strong rapport with all stakeholders.
-Effectively contribute to our school community in a positive and professional manner.
Education and Experience Bachelor's of Science Degree - Elementary or Middle School
Valid NE Teaching Certificate
Experience in teaching intermediate grades is preferred but not required
Safe Environment Certified (or willing to be trained)
