The Grill on 21, located inside The LaSalle, An Autograph Collection hotel , is a refined dining destination featuring an open, exhibition-style kitchen that brings energy and excitement to the guest experience. Nestled in the heart of Chicago’s financial district, The Grill on 21 attracts professionals, seasoned travelers, and local residents seeking an elevated yet welcoming dining experience.
We are currently seeking a Lead Host to join our front-of-house team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating warm, memorable experiences while supporting the flow of service in our bustling restaurant.

What We’re Looking For:
Experience: At least 2-3 years in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
Guest Focus: Ability to warmly welcome guests and resolve concerns with professionalism and patience
Team Player: Positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced setting
Flexibility: Availability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Physical Requirements:
Stand for 5–10 hours per shift
Safely move throughout all areas of the restaurant
Lift/carry up to 20 lbs. when moving chairs, highchairs, or booster seats
Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and pushing
Comfortable working in varying conditions (crowded spaces, changing temperatures, indoors/outdoors)
