**Role Overview**
**Sodexo Headquarters** is seeking a **Kitchen Utility Associate** to support daily kitchen operations in a high-volume corporate dining environment with global exposure in **North Bethesda, Maryland.**
This role ensures the kitchen and service areas operate efficiently, hygienically, and in alignment with company standards for safety, quality, and presentation. The ideal candidate is a dependable, team-oriented professional who can perform both back-of-house cleaning and food preparation tasks in a fast-paced, multicultural setting.
**What You'll Do**
+ **Kitchen Support & Sanitation**
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dish room, and storage areas.
+ Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment according to company and health standards.
+ Assist in waste management, recycling, and inventory rotation to ensure sustainability and compliance.
+ Monitor and restock kitchen supplies as needed.
+ **Food Preparation Assistance**
+ Support chefs and cooks in basic food prep tasks including washing, cutting, labeling, and portioning ingredients.
+ Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.
+ Assist with set-up and breakdown of service stations for breakfast, lunch, or catering events.
+ **Operational Excellence**
+ Adhere to safety and hygiene standards in compliance with local health regulations and corporate policies.
+ Collaborate with culinary team members to ensure timely seamless kitchen flow.
+ Support special functions, global events, and corporate catering as assigned.

**What You Bring**
+ Prior experience in a commercial kitchen, corporate dining, or hospitality environment preferred.
+ Knowledge of food safety standards (ServSafe certification a plus).
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform physical tasks (standing, lifting, bending).
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
+ Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or occasional event hours as needed.
