Job Description

di Stefano Landscaping is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic with diverse mechanical experience to maintain our wide range of equipment. Our fleet includes Ford trucks, Toro mowers, Stihl small equipment, and Caterpillar and Volvo heavy equipment.

The core responsibility of this role is preventative and predictive maintenance for all vehicles, trailers, and equipment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious and capable of self-management.

Job Responsibilities

* Use your technical knowledge and skills with vehicles and equipment to minimize equipment downtime. This includes:

* Preventative Maintenance on Fleet Vehicles, trailers, heavy equipment, and small engine equipment
* Gas / Diesel Engine Repair and Diagnosis
* Drive Train Repair and Diagnosis
* Electrical Repair and Diagnosis
* Brake System Repair and Diagnosis
* Steering and Suspension Repair and Diagnosis
* Welding / Fabrication
* Hydraulics
* Manage subcontracted repairs and communicate updates among members of the management staff.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with the following qualifications:

* Vehicle/trailer/equipment maintenance experience, especially with our fleet vehicles, or mechanical aptitude
* A valid driver’s license and a clean DMV record
* Own tools or willingness to purchase tools as needed
* Ability to lift 50-75 pounds regularly
* ASE certification is preferred, with the ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire
* Capable of self-management
* Experience with Repair Prioritization Systems
* Basic computer skills
* Ability to function as a vital member of a team
* Always maintains a safety-conscious mindset

Pay and Benefits package:

* Pay starting at $24.00 per hour depending on experience.
