Job Description
Salary: $76,000 - 95,000 per year Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Proven knowledge of the construction or HVAC sector
- Familiarity with control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and other building subsystems
- Experience in programming JCI software
- Demonstrated experience in integrating low voltage building subsystems using various industry protocols (e.g., LON, BACnet)
- Capable of conveying technical information to a non-technical audience
- Proficient computer skills required, especially in drafting software
- Willingness to travel regularly
Responsibilities: - Design and configure technically sophisticated building control systems as outlined in contract documents
- Develop and test software programs to ensure operational compliance with project specifications
- Coordinate and produce essential drawings and equipment schedules for submissions and installations
- Select, order, and monitor the delivery of materials for designated projects
- Oversee factory-mounting processes to align with factory and project timelines
- Assist in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers
- Validate complete system functionality and troubleshoot alongside subcontractors and other teams for optimal performance
- Provide field change updates to the project team for the creation of as-built drawings and software
- Keep management and JCI contractors or customers updated on job progress and issues
- Conduct site-specific training for owner/operators on the comprehensive building control system
- Join in release meetings with the project field team
- Perform value engineering for cost-effective solutions while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Potentially direct the work of Systems Design Assistants
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a high level of safety for employees and subcontractors
- Travel is required for this position
