Are you a data-driven strategist with a passion for uncovering insights that fuel business growth? Join our dynamic team as a Business Development Analyst, where you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic growth initiatives by identifying new business opportunities, analyzing market trends, and supporting the development and execution of business strategies.

Your mission includes:

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends.

  • Analyze financial and operational data using tools such as SQL and Python to support strategic decision-making and forecasting.

  • Design and implement data processes to integrate data from multiple sources into centralized repositories, cleaning, transforming and validating datasets that ensure accuracy and consistency for analytical use.

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and underwriting teams to align business strategies and performance goals.

  • Develop and present business proposals, dashboards, and performance reports to senior leadership.

  • Monitor agency production and performance, enabling segmentation and channel value proposition alignment.

  • Support the implementation of business development tools and infrastructure to enhance analytics capabilities.

  • Participate in strategic planning sessions, talent forums, and cross-regional assessments to refine BD strategy.

What You Bring

You're a curious, collaborative, and technically skilled professional who thrives at the intersection of data and strategy.

Must-haves:

  • 4-6 years of experience in BI, analytics, or business development roles.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, or related field (MBA a plus).

  • Proficiency in CRM and business intelligence tools (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI, Excel).

  • Working knowledge of SQL and Python for data querying, analysis, visualization and automation.

  • Skilled in developing automated workflows and scripts to streamline data processing and reporting.

  • Experience with cloud platforms and data warehouse technologies.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in insurance, underwriting, claims, or actuarial domains.

Pay Philosophy : The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at MAPFRE are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Salary Range $87k - $130k
