Job Description

Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This role is responsible for the full accounts payable cycle, from processing and verifying invoices to reconciling vendor accounts. This is a crucial position that requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative spirit. You'll work closely with various departments and external vendors, and your ability to manage tasks independently while contributing to a team is key.
Key Responsibilities
Process high-volume invoices using both manual data entry and automated systems.
Investigate and resolve issues related to invoices and purchase orders.
Manage and maintain vendor records in compliance with company policy.
Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and other questions.
Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing accruals.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
Maintain confidentiality of all financial information.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience processing accounts payable in a medium to large organization.
Solid Excel skillset and experience utilizing ERP systems, proficient with JD Edwards is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good time management and organizational skills
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000
Location: NE Portland
