Job Description

Accountant needed for our nonprofit client in Catonsville. The Accountant will perform the day-to-day accounting functions to include reconciling, reporting, budgeting and auditing. Three month contract position. The non-negotiable pay rate is $28.50 per hour.

• Prepare monthly internal financial reporting.
  
• Manage the month and year-end closing process.
  
• Prepare and assist with agency annual budgets and special projects.
  
• Monitor and tracking budgets for all services programs.
  
• Assist with payroll processes and analysis as needed.
  
• Assist with 401K deferrals and analysis.
  
• Maintain and reconcile Fixed Assets and depreciation.
  
• Manage general ledger accounts and bank accounts reconciliation.
  
• Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and related supporting documentation.
  
• Ensures invoices are paid in a timely manner and that all documentation is scanned and verified.
  
• Collaborate with Supervisors and other department leaders.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Business.
  
• Must have at least three years of accounting experience.
  
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Quickbooks.
  
• Must be able to work three to four days a week namely from 9:00 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
  
• Must be able to pass a FBI background check and drug test.
